Welcome! This is my first step in turning my hobby into a new business enterprise.
I live in New York and must have some sort of neurotic hatred of seeing things go to waste. From tentatively taking home a brand new filing cabinet sitting on the curb waiting to be hauled to a landfill, I gradually evolved into what is known as a hardcore 'dumpster diver.'
Simultaneously, my interest in learning how to use power tools and in mastering the techniques of manipulating and altering materials was growing.
Soon I was coming up with new and creative designs for useful, beautiful objects fashioned from commonly disposed of items.
Please don't be put off by the idea that these creations were once trash. There's nothing slimy or gooey or dirty about the materials I use. Everything is clean and you won't get cooties.
You will, however, be doing the environment a great service. Five percent of all my proceeds will be donated to an environmental non-profit. (I'll decide which later.) |
